C-Quest Capital LLC (“CQC”), a leading global developer of carbon offset projects, is engaged in an immediate opening for an Administrator, Carbon Asset AccountsThis new role will support CQC as a whole, will be based in Washington, DC and will report to the Senior Sales and Marketing Advisor.


CQC’s mission is to reduce humanity’s carbon footprint and transform    lives by providing access to clean, energy efficient appliances and climate-smart, small-scale agriculture to enable those in economically disadvantaged communities around the world. Headquartered in Washington D.C., CQC uses the infrastructure of global carbon markets to quantify and monetize carbon reductions, then targets these funds for projects benefitting under-developed countries.   


The Administrator, Carbon Asset Accounts is a unique position with the following responsibilities:


  • Manage accounts in the carbon emissions registries (CDM, Verra, Gold Standard, CTX, etc.), to include: acting as the CQC first point of contact; processing registration, renewal, and verification of carbon projects; providing, drafting or finalizing documentation as required by the registries; administering issuance and transfer of asset monitoring.


  • Maintaining contracts for the sale of assets to include building an understanding of CQC obligations related to sales, distribution, and settlement; organizing and maintaining contract files; tracking the execution of settlement terms to ensure contract compliance; coordinating with Operations and Sales Teams on the availability of assets; be the point of contact for sales inventory information; drafting and distributing invoices as requested by CQC Finance Team.


  • Prepare monthly and bi-weekly reports on asset and contract status, upcoming contract deliveries, process invoices and payments and report contract deliveries to Finance and Operations & Sales Teams, as well as the Management Team.


The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:


  • Associate Degree (minimum) in Business Administration, Economics, Legal or Legal Assistant/Paralegal studies
  • Two years of relevant professional experience maintaining contracts; tracking and organizing contract files; holding primary responsibility for tracking inventory; preparing status reports, tracking contract deliverables, collaborating with Sales and Operations teams, processing invoices related to contract deliverables and ensuring payment is received.
  • Strong analytical skills with an extreme attention to detail and a proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication (spoken and written) and organizational skills.
  • Expert technology skills; the ability to quickly learn new software and programs.
  • A great deal of initiative and an industrious work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work well remotely and collaborate with international team members.
  • An ability to fit in with the high-performance and collaborative culture of CQC.
  • An interest in the challenges that climate change presents and the role that carbon markets can play to address these challenges coupled with an active interest in helping the rural poor in less developed countries.
  • Previous experience with carbon emissions registries is a plus but not required; on the job training will be provided.
